Yami Gautam's Heartfelt Thanks

Mumbai, December 3: Actress Yami Gautam has received widespread acclaim for her nuanced and impactful performance as Shazia Bano in the courtroom drama "Haq".

In a touching message on social media, Yami expressed her appreciation to audiences for embracing the film with such respect and sincerity.

In her Instagram post, she shared, "As we approach a new Friday at the movies, especially one that holds personal significance, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude (sic)."

"In this era filled with numerous reviews, cinephile opinions, and various metrics for a film's success from the very first day—marked by significant Mondays, rapid Tuesdays, and dizzying Wednesdays—my small film, #HAQ, emerged. Thank you for honoring it with such respect and integrity (Folded hands emoji). Every film has its unique journey and learning curve, which I take very seriously," Yami added.

The actress, known for her role in 'Vicky Donor', noted that during the release of 'Haq', she came across the phrase ‘Yami ka haq’, affectionately coined by fans and media.

Yami admitted that as an artist, she often struggles to define what true validation means to her, but she finds beauty in the uncertainty of her profession.

"As an artist, I still don’t know what true validation looks like or what constitutes my ‘right’. Yet, I believe the allure of my profession lies in this enigma. This is what motivates me to keep striving, seeking fresh narratives, and pursuing my craft wholeheartedly :)," she expressed.

Yami also advocated for the triumph of "good cinema", stating, "I hope we can safeguard the integrity of our industry from negative influences. Ultimately, as part of this enchanting realm of films, I wish for good cinema to prevail… and it will. Until we meet again on another Friday (Folded hands and red heart emojis)."
