World Padel League Returns to Mumbai


Mumbai, June 17: The World Padel League (WPL), which made its successful debut in India earlier this year, is set to return for its third season. Scheduled to take place from August 12 to 16 at the Nesco Center, this season promises to be bigger and better.


This year, the league will expand from four to six franchises, introducing two new teams to the competition. Fans can look forward to five days filled with thrilling matches featuring some of the best padel players from around the globe.


Hemali Sharma, co-founder of the World Padel League, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming season, stating, “The journey of padel in India has been remarkable. Just six months after our last edition, Season 3 signifies a significant step forward as we enhance the competition and set new standards for the sport. India is rapidly becoming a promising hub for padel, and we aim to create a vibrant, world-class sporting experience that appeals to both seasoned fans and newcomers.”


Sneha Abraham Sehgal, President of the Indian Padel Federation, remarked, “The World Padel League has been instrumental in boosting the visibility of padel in India.
