However, women are also permitted to worship Hanuman, provided they adhere to certain guidelines. Failing to follow these rules may result in unfulfilled prayers and displeasure from the deity. Here are some essential points for women to consider while performing Hanuman worship:
1. Women should avoid touching the idol of Hanuman or his feet during worship, as he respects women and considers them akin to mothers, similar to Mata Sita.
2. It is inappropriate for women to bathe Hanuman's idol with Panchamrit, as this is seen as disrespectful to a Brahmachari.
3. Women should not offer clothes, chola, or sacred threads to Hanuman's idol; these should be presented by men.
4. When expressing reverence, women should not bow their heads before Hanuman. It is believed that while Hanuman can bow to women, he does not wish for them to bow to him. Instead, they can join their hands in prayer.
5. Women should refrain from offering sindoor during worship, reciting Bajrang Baan, or presenting a sacred thread.
6. During menstruation, women are advised against reciting Hanuman Chalisa or even remembering him, as it is believed that this could lead to his displeasure.
