In a distressing incident from Uttarakhand, a woman abandoned her husband for her lover, only to discover that he had married someone else. Following this betrayal, she lodged a complaint with the police, leading to the arrest of the accused.

Pithoragarh Crime News: This unsettling case has emerged from Pithoragarh, where a mother of a six-year-old girl left her husband for her lover, who later chose to marry another woman. The victim has since filed a police report, resulting in the arrest of the perpetrator.

The incident reportedly took place in the Baluwakot area. The woman began her relationship with a young man in 2024, who was said to be her brother-in-law. As their relationship deepened, he promised her marriage and urged her to separate from her husband.

How Did the Woman Get Deceived?

Convinced by the young man's assurances, the woman signed an affidavit in February 2025 and filed for divorce in July 2025. However, during this period, the young man married another girl. Upon learning of this betrayal, the woman was left in shock and approached the police for help.

The victim also has a six-year-old daughter, while her husband works in Delhi. The woman's marital relationship is now on the verge of collapse due to her lover's deceit, leaving her in a challenging situation.

Police Action Taken

Based on the woman's complaint, the police registered a case against the 22-year-old accused for deceiving her into a relationship under false pretenses and for physical exploitation. The accused has been apprehended, and the investigation is ongoing.
