Unexpected Birth on Train Journey

A woman unexpectedly gave birth to a baby girl while traveling on a train near the Old Faridabad railway station in Haryana, as reported by officials.


Upon receiving news of the incident, the train was halted at the Old Faridabad station, allowing for the mother and her newborn to be transported to a nearby hospital. Both are reported to be in good health.


According to police, the delivery was assisted by other women passengers on the train. The woman was returning with her husband from Katra in Jammu, and her delivery was not expected until next month.


Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajesh Chechi stated, 'The woman gave birth on the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Jabalpur Express, which was en route from Jammu and Kashmir to Madhya Pradesh. Currently, both the mother and the baby are safe.'
