The prestigious Wimbledon 2025 is currently underway in England, maintaining its reputation as one of the top tennis tournaments globally. With renowned international players gracing the courts, this year's event continues to attract significant attention. Among the favorites is the legendary Novak Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam champion, who is once again making headlines.
Djokovic Advances in Thrilling Match
In a gripping pre-quarterfinal clash, Djokovic faced off against Australia's Alex de Minaur, successfully securing his place in the quarterfinals. The match took place on the iconic Centre Court, where numerous prominent Indian figures were present, including cricket superstar Virat Kohli, actress Anushka Sharma, cricketer Rishabh Pant, former coach Ravi Shastri, and bowler Deepak Chahar.
Wimbledon Ticket Costs: What to Expect
For many fans, attending Wimbledon is a dream come true, albeit at a steep price. For those on a budget, ground passes are available starting at around INR 3,012, granting general access to the grounds but not to the center courts. Reserved seating at Courts 2 and 3 is priced at approximately INR 5,522.
Court No. 1, known for hosting some of the tournament's most significant matches, has a varied pricing structure based on seat location. Basic seats in Rows X to ZC are priced around INR 7,028, while premium seats in Rows A to Q can cost nearly INR 9,036.
Centre Court: The Most Coveted Seats
Centre Court tickets are the most sought-after and expensive. Prices for Rows ZA–ZF start at INR 7,530, while Rows U–Z are priced at INR 10,040. Premium seating in Rows A–T can reach INR 10,542, and tickets for Finals Day (Day 14) can soar to INR 31,628.
Celebrity Access: Did Kohli and Anushka Pay?
Despite the high ticket prices, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma did not purchase their tickets. The couple was invited to the Royal Box, an exclusive area reserved for VIPs. Access to this prestigious seating is granted by the President of the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) based on recommendations from government officials and other dignitaries.
On July 7, Kohli and Anushka were spotted in the front row, enthusiastically supporting Djokovic as he staged a remarkable comeback against de Minaur, showcasing why he remains a formidable force at Wimbledon.
