CJP Founder Urges PM Modi to Address Police Brutality

New Delhi: Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), expressed his hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will issue an apology to women protesters in his upcoming video message, particularly regarding the alleged police violence during the march to Parliament on July 20.

Dipke's comments came in response to a video released by Modi on Friday, where he mentioned his desire to forgive the 'misguided children' who had reportedly insulted him and his late mother during protests at Jantar Mantar.

"I anticipate that Modi ji will share another video tonight, in which I hope he will apologize for the police action on July 20," Dipke stated in a video message.

He accused law enforcement of using excessive force during the protests, claiming that even young girls, including minors, faced assaults from police officers.

"Twelve-year-old girls were subjected to violence by the police. Male officers even tore the clothing of these girls and struck them in sensitive areas. I urge Modi ji to apologize to all the girls who suffered at the hands of the police in tonight's video," he added.

These allegations stem from the July 20 protest, where demonstrators were advocating for action against alleged irregularities in the NEET examination. The event saw confrontations between protesters and police, with security forces resorting to batons and tear gas to control the crowd.

Previously, Dipke had also questioned whether Modi would truly forgive the students or if the legal cases against them would be dismissed as well.
