The fire is situated near the Springer Natural Area, just west of Interstate 25, generating a significant plume of smoke visible throughout the region. As a precaution, the Fort Fun amusement park was evacuated while firefighting teams worked to control the situation.


The Poudre Fire Authority responded after receiving multiple reports of smoke in the 1200 block of East Mulberry Avenue. Firefighters initiated operations as the fire spread through the surrounding brush and vegetation. Authorities requested that residents refrain from calling 911 to report the fire, emphasizing that emergency crews were already present and managing the situation.
