Who Issued a Death Threat to Salman Khan? Shocking Details Unveiled!

Vadodara: Authorities have located a man who allegedly threatened Bollywood actor Salman Khan, tracing him to a village in Vadodara district, Gujarat. According to police reports, the individual is believed to be mentally unstable.

On Monday, the Mumbai police detained the 26-year-old suspect, identified as Mayank Pandya, and issued a notice requiring him to report to them as needed.

Although he resides in Waghodia taluka of Vadodara, he has not been formally arrested, police confirmed.

The threat was communicated via a message sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police's WhatsApp helpline, where the sender claimed intentions to bomb Salman Khan's vehicle and invade his home.

In response, the Worli police in Mumbai filed a case against the unidentified individual under section 351(2)(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertains to criminal intimidation, and increased security measures around Khan's residence in Bandra.

Following an investigation, authorities discovered that the threatening message originated from Waghodia taluka. District Superintendent of Police Rohan Anand shared this information with the media.

"A team from the Mumbai police, along with local Waghodia officers, visited the suspect's home on Monday. It was revealed that the 26-year-old is undergoing treatment for mental health issues," Anand stated.

"The Mumbai police issued him a notice for his appearance and subsequently departed," he added.

The notice mandates that the individual must appear before the Mumbai police for further investigation as required.

This incident follows a previous threat in April of last year when two individuals on a motorcycle fired shots outside Khan's residence at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra.

Khan has faced threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which warned him of dire consequences unless he apologized to the Bishnoi community regarding the alleged killing of a blackbuck. In light of these threats, he was granted Y-Plus security by the Mumbai police.

Shortly after the shooting incident last year, Navi Mumbai Police reported they had uncovered a plot by the Bishnoi gang to assassinate Khan during a visit to his farmhouse in Panvel, near Mumbai.
