New Appointment in Anti-Naxal Operations


Bhubaneswar: On Wednesday, the Home Department announced the appointment of senior IPS officer Sanjeeb Panda as the Additional Director General (ADG) for anti-Naxal operations.


Previously, Panda served as the ADG of Training and was also the Director of the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA). In his new role, he will oversee both the special intelligence wing and the anti-Naxal operations.


Anup Kumar Sahoo, an IPS officer from the 2006 batch, will remain the Director of BPSPA until further notice.


Additionally, Akhileshwar Singh, a 2009 batch IPS officer currently serving as the DIG of Police for the South Western Range in Koraput, has been reassigned to the position of DIG of Police for the State Intelligence Wing in Bhubaneswar, effective immediately.


Kanwar Vishal Singh, a 2010 batch officer who was previously the DIG of the State Intelligence Wing in Bhubaneswar, has now been appointed as the DIG for the South Western Range in Koraput.
