Who is Nitin Nabin? The New Face of BJP Leadership Takes Charge!
Nitin Nabin Assumes Role as BJP's National Working President
New Delhi: Nitin Nabin, the newly appointed national working president of the BJP, officially took over his duties at the party headquarters on Monday.
The event was attended by prominent figures including BJP president and Union Health Minister J P Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Nabin arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport from Patna in the afternoon, just a day after his appointment.
He was welcomed at the airport by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and other BJP leaders.
Gupta and several of her cabinet colleagues were also present at the party headquarters during Nabin's formal takeover.
At 45 years old, Nabin is a minister in the Nitish Kumar-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in Bihar. His appointment as national working president signals a potential future leadership role, possibly succeeding Nadda as the national president, indicating a generational transition within the party.
Nabin is the son of the late BJP veteran and former MLA Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha. Party leaders describe him as dynamic, ideologically grounded, and deeply committed to the BJP.
He has a background with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and has served five terms as an MLA, representing the Bankipur Assembly constituency in Patna. He has also held ministerial positions in the Bihar government.
His leadership in Bihar and as the party's in-charge for Chhattisgarh has been noted for its effectiveness and organizational strength.
The BJP parliamentary board selected Nabin for this role, and he currently serves as the PWD minister in Bihar.
