Aman Bhainswal's Return to India

New Delhi: Aman Bhainswal, a prominent figure in the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was extradited from the United States on Wednesday following a coordinated effort by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), according to officials.

Bhainswal is wanted by Haryana Police for serious charges including murder, rioting, and criminal conspiracy.

The CBI had secured an Interpol Red Notice against him at the behest of Haryana authorities.

A spokesperson for the CBI remarked, "The accused is a well-known criminal and a significant member of an organized crime syndicate, specifically the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He had previously been arrested in India but was released on bail. However, he failed to appear for trial and subsequently went into hiding."

Thanks to the Interpol Red Notice, Bhainswal was located and tracked in the United States.

He was successfully deported and landed in India on January 7, 2026, where he was apprehended by Haryana Police at Delhi Airport.
