New Delhi: Renowned filmmaker S S Rajamouli has officially announced the title of his forthcoming movie featuring Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role.

The announcement was made via a post on Rajamouli's X account on Saturday, where he mentioned that the 'first reveal' regarding the film is scheduled for November.

The post read, 'The First Reveal in November 2025… #GlobeTrotter,' accompanied by a close-up image of Mahesh Babu wearing a pendant that showcases an idol of Lord Shiva's trident along with his ox, Nandi. The word 'Globetrotter' was inscribed on it.

This upcoming project, initially referred to as SSMB29, will be the first collaboration between Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli. However, details regarding the storyline and cast remain undisclosed, and the release date is yet to be confirmed.

There were earlier speculations about Priyanka Chopra being part of the film, but this has not been validated by the production team.

This film marks Rajamouli's first venture following the success of his acclaimed movie RRR, which debuted in 2022 and starred Ram Charan and Jr NTR, achieving remarkable box office success.

Mahesh Babu's most recent film was Guntur Kaaram, which premiered in January 2024 under the direction of Trivikram Srinivas. Additionally, he lent his voice to the character of Mufasa in the Telugu adaptation of Mufasa: The Lion King, released in December of the previous year.
