Strengthening Ties: EAM Jaishankar's Visit to the Netherlands

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has landed in the Netherlands to engage in talks aimed at enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations. This visit marks the beginning of his three-country tour, which will also include stops in Denmark and Germany. Notably, this is Jaishankar's first international trip following a recent military standoff between Indian and Pakistani forces.

Upon his arrival, Jaishankar was greeted by Ambassador @ktuhinv and Gabriella Sancisi, the Director of Protocol and Host Country Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Indian Embassy in The Hague shared the news on social media, highlighting the significance of this visit in strengthening India-Netherlands relations.

During his time in the Netherlands, Jaishankar is set to meet with leaders from all three nations, discussing a wide range of topics related to bilateral ties as well as regional and global issues of shared interest.

It is anticipated that he will inform his counterparts about India's recent military operation, Operation Sindoor, which was initiated in response to a terror attack in Pahalgam. This operation, carried out on May 7, resulted in the destruction of nine terror infrastructures located in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.

Following this operation, Pakistan attempted to retaliate by targeting Indian military installations on May 8, 9, and 10. An agreement to halt hostilities was reached on May 10, concluding four days of military confrontations.
