What’s Next for India-Pakistan Relations? PM Modi Leads Key Meeting Ahead of DGMOs Talks

High-Level Meeting Precedes Crucial Talks

New Delhi: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a significant meeting that included Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, in anticipation of discussions between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) from India and Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, along with the heads of all three armed services.

Modi has been consistently leading discussions with senior officials regarding India's military and diplomatic strategies following the Pahalgam terror incident that occurred on April 22.

Recently, India and Pakistan reached an agreement to cease all forms of military actions and firings across land, air, and sea, effective immediately.

The DGMOs from both nations are scheduled to engage in talks on Monday.
