CJP Founder Takes a Stand

New Delhi: Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), announced on Wednesday that he will attend a session with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) concerning the suspension of the group's X account.

Reports indicate that MeitY had summoned Dipke to its headquarters for a hearing regarding the government's decision to block the CJP's account.

Dipke confirmed via a post on X, stating, "I will be present today at 3 PM before the Review Committee of MeitY to discuss the withholding of our account, @CJP_2029."

This meeting is crucial as Dipke has been spearheading a sit-in protest by the CJP at Jantar Mantar, which has now reached its fifth day. The protest calls for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan due to alleged exam irregularities and the NEET paper leak scandal.

The CJP gained significant attention after its inception on May 16, following controversial comments from Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant, which many interpreted as comparing unemployed youth to "cockroaches."

The original X account of this digital satire group was suspended in India on May 21, leading them to create a new handle, 'Cockroach is Back.'

On Tuesday, the protesters at Jantar Mantar organized a "diaper donation drive" as part of their campaign demanding Pradhan's resignation.

In the evening, Dipke shared a video showcasing the protest, where demonstrators waved diapers and chanted, "Go Pradhan Go."

The CJP has vowed to continue its protest until Pradhan steps down.
