Investigation Launched into CBSE's Marking System

New Delhi: The Indian government has established a one-person committee to investigate the procurement processes related to the on-screen marking system utilized by the CBSE.

This committee will be led by S Radha Chauhan, who serves as the Chairperson of the Capacity Building Commission, as stated in a memorandum released by the Cabinet Secretariat on Tuesday.

Chauhan is authorized to seek help from officials in other departments as necessary, while the Capacity Building Commission will offer secretarial support to the committee.

The committee is expected to present its findings to the Department of Personnel and Training within a month.

The memorandum directed to Chauhan has also been communicated to the Department of School Education and Literacy, along with the Department of Personnel and Training.

This initiative arises in response to concerns voiced by students and parents regarding the execution of the on-screen marking (OSM) system during CBSE board examinations.

The board has encountered backlash due to various issues, including technical malfunctions, payment processing failures, and delays in the verification and re-evaluation procedures.
