What to Expect from the Niladri Bije Ritual: A Glimpse into Jagannath's Return

Niladri Bije Ritual Set for Tuesday
Puri: The revered ritual known as 'Niladri Bije' will take place on Tuesday, signifying the return of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra to their rightful place at the Ratna Simhasan in the Shree Jagannath Temple. This event follows their 12-day sojourn at the Gundicha temple.
During this ceremony, the deities will make their way into the temple via the unique ‘Goti Pahandi’ procession from their chariots.
In a traditional act of devotion, Lord Jagannath will present ‘Rasagola’ to Goddess Laxmi, symbolizing an effort to seek her forgiveness for her absence during the Rath Yatra. This offering is a significant aspect of the ritual, emphasizing themes of divine harmony.
The administration of the Shree Jagannath Temple has put in place comprehensive measures to facilitate the seamless conduct of all related rituals.
