Key Responsibilities of the New CEO
In Ayodhya, Nripendra Mishra, the Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee, revealed on Sunday that the Ayodhya temple Trust will define the roles and responsibilities of its inaugural Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Mishra emphasized that the CEO's main duty will be to maintain the faith of the temple's devotees.
He further explained that the new CEO will manage financial operations, assuring reporters that there will be no governmental interference in the trust's operations or the CEO's role.
Among the CEO's initial tasks will be to ensure that visitors to Ayodhya have access to all necessary facilities and to uphold their trust in the temple.
Mishra described the CEO's position as one that supports the trust without any government involvement, mentioning that a three-member committee has been established to recommend suitable candidates for the CEO position.
The trust will ultimately decide the extent of authority granted to the CEO, who will also be responsible for assembling their own team, while all actions will remain under the trust's oversight.
On July 6, the trust introduced a three-member panel consisting of retired Justice Pramod Kohli, retired Lieutenant General Vishnukant Chaturvedi, and former NIT Raipur chairperson Suresh Haware to evaluate candidates for the CEO role.
When questioned about his participation in the committee's meetings, Mishra firmly stated he would not be attending.
He also noted that there have been no complaints from devotees visiting the Ram temple, who reportedly have a positive experience.
Mishra assured that if you ask devotees near Angad Teela and Sugriv Kila, they would express no dissatisfaction regarding their faith in Lord Ram, the temple's arrangements, or the worship activities.
Regarding any changes within the Ram temple trust, Mishra clarified that no decisions were made in his presence and confirmed he did not attend the trust meeting on July 6.
When asked about the upcoming meeting on July 22, he mentioned, "I am unaware of the agenda. If it involves construction, I will need to be present. We are ex-officio directors without voting rights, providing our insights on relevant matters. I will decide on attending based on the agenda."
For inquiries about the topics to be discussed in the July 22 meeting, Mishra suggested directing those questions to the temple trust's general secretary.
