Washington: Reports indicate that US President Donald Trump is set to engage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the G-7 summit in France on Wednesday, as per local media sources citing US officials.

This meeting marks the first interaction between the two leaders since their last encounter in Washington back in February of the previous year.

Trump will commence his journey to France for the G-7 Summit on Monday morning.

In addition to Modi, the US president is also expected to hold discussions with leaders from Egypt, Qatar, the UAE, and France during his time in France.

Meanwhile, Modi has departed for a week-long trip that includes visits to France and Slovakia, where he will participate in the G-7 Summit and engage in talks with global leaders on various bilateral and international matters.
