New Delhi: As Secretary of State Marco Rubio prepares for his visit to India, US envoy Sergio Gor expressed the importance of the growing partnership between Washington and New Delhi. Gor emphasized the commitment to enhancing ties that will be mutually beneficial for both countries and the global community.

In a recent post on X, the US ambassador to India shared a nostalgic photo with Rubio, stating, “I am eager to welcome my good friend Secretary Rubio to India! The United States values our expanding partnership with India and looks forward to strengthening our ties for the benefit of both nations and the world. See you soon, Mr. Secretary!”

Earlier in April, Gor mentioned that Rubio is looking forward to his trip to India next month.

This announcement followed a meeting between Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Rubio at the White House, where they discussed various aspects of the bilateral relationship, including trade, critical minerals, defense, and the Quad.

Gor, who attended the meeting, tweeted, “Welcome to the White House, @VikramMisri! A productive discussion with @SecRubio focused on our bilateral relationship, particularly trade, critical minerals, defense, and the Quad.”
