President Droupadi Murmu's Two-Day Odisha Visit
Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit Odisha on July 14 for a two-day engagement, as confirmed by officials.
During her stay, she will participate in the convocations at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar and Ravenshaw University located in Cuttack.
Additionally, she will lay the foundation stone for several development projects at Ravenshaw Girls' High School and will attend the 600th birth anniversary celebration of Adikabi Sarala Das at Sarla Bhavan in Cuttack, where she will also present the 'Kalinga Ratna Award 2024'.
Her return to New Delhi is scheduled for July 15, according to official statements.
In preparation for the president's visit, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja convened a high-level meeting to assess readiness.
He instructed relevant officials to ensure all necessary arrangements for the president's arrival and departure at the airport.
Ahuja also emphasized the need for temporary accommodations at the Raj Bhavan, enhanced security measures, emergency medical provisions, and a reliable power supply at all event locations.
