PM Modi's Anticipated Visit to Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Odisha on June 20 to participate in a grand event marking the first anniversary of the BJP's government in the state, as confirmed by a senior minister in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

Although the anniversary of the BJP administration is officially on June 12, the primary celebration will take place on June 20 to accommodate the Prime Minister's schedule, according to Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari.

Pujari noted, “There have been several adjustments to the events planned for the completion of the first year of the Mohan Charan Majhi government in Odisha. The government was established on June 12, 2024, and the anniversary is on June 12 this year. However, the main event will occur on June 20 due to the PM's availability.”

The senior BJP leader mentioned that the state government had previously requested the Prime Minister and other notable figures to attend the June 12 event.

“Since the PM is occupied on that date, he will arrive on June 20, and arrangements are being modified accordingly,” he added.

Pujari also indicated that the detailed schedule for the event would be announced shortly.

During a recent trip to New Delhi, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi formally invited the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP president JP Nadda, and other dignitaries to the anniversary celebrations on June 12.

In conjunction with the anniversary events, all ministers from Odisha have been tasked with visiting various districts to present the first-year report card of the Majhi government to the public.
