PM Modi Embarks on a Landmark Trip to Israel


New Delhi: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for a two-day visit to Israel, where he is set to engage in discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, deliver a speech at the Knesset, and connect with the Indian community residing there.


In his statement prior to departure, Modi emphasized the strong and diverse strategic partnership between India and Israel, which has seen significant growth and vitality. He expressed eagerness for his upcoming discussions with Netanyahu.


The prime minister noted that this visit is at the invitation of his "dear friend Prime Minister Netanyahu."


"I am looking forward to our talks aimed at enhancing our collaboration in various sectors, including science and technology, innovation, agriculture, water management, defense and security, trade and investment, as well as fostering people-to-people connections," he stated.


Modi's address at the Knesset marks a historic moment, as he will be the first Indian prime minister to achieve this honor.
