On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm welcome in Somnath, where crowds gathered in large numbers to greet him with excitement and cheers.
Upon his arrival, PM Modi participated in a roadshow as part of the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav, celebrating 75 years since the restoration of the iconic Somnath Temple.
Residents enthusiastically lined the streets, waving the national flag and BJP banners while donning traditional attire.
Comprehensive security measures were implemented throughout the city to ensure the safety of the high-profile visit.
The route was decorated with national and BJP flags, creating a festive ambiance as the Prime Minister arrived to pay his respects at the revered shrine.
Artists, devotees, and visitors from various regions of Gujarat have started arriving in significant numbers to partake in the grand festivities planned at this historic temple town.
During his stay, the Prime Minister will offer prayers at the Somnath Temple and engage in a variety of religious, administrative, and community events in Gir Somnath and Vadodara districts.
Extensive security protocols have been established in and around Somnath for the Prime Minister's visit, alongside elaborate welcome ceremonies and cultural programs organized for the occasion.
As per the Prime Minister's Office, PM Modi will take part in the Vishesh Maha Puja, Kumbhabhishek, and Dhvajarohan ceremonies during the celebrations. He is also set to unveil a commemorative stamp and coin to honor the 75th anniversary of the temple's restoration.
Additionally, the Indian Air Force's Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team is scheduled to perform a special aerial display over the Somnath Temple.
This performance will feature six Hawk Mk-132 aircraft executing synchronized aerobatic formations above the historic temple complex, symbolizing a blend of heritage, aviation prowess, and national pride in Prabhas Patan.
The Somnath Amrut Mahotsav is anticipated to attract a large turnout of devotees, artists, and dignitaries as Gujarat celebrates the 75th anniversary of the reconstruction and inauguration of one of India's most cherished temples.
