Major Event to Mark BJP's Milestones in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: On June 20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in a significant event at Janata Maidan, commemorating the first anniversary of the BJP's governance in Odisha.
According to BJP state president Manmohan Samal, the event will also celebrate the central government's 11 years of governance. Scheduled for around 3 PM, this gathering is expected to be one of the largest public meetings in the state, with PM Modi receiving a warm welcome at the Bhubaneswar airport.
Samal mentioned that more information regarding the event and the list of distinguished guests will be provided by the party in due course.
During a press briefing on Tuesday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi highlighted the achievements of his administration since taking office on June 12 of the previous year. He emphasized that the BJP government began working on its commitments to the public right from its first Cabinet meeting after being sworn in.
Majhi pointed out that effective governance and a strong stance against corruption have been the standout achievements of his government over the past year. He also congratulated PM Modi on the Union Government's successful completion of 11 years, coinciding with the first anniversary of its third term.
Reflecting on the changes initiated by the Modi administration, CM Majhi remarked, "The legacy of the Modi government, which first took office on May 26, 2014, will be remembered as a beacon of hope, replacing the previous atmosphere of corruption and inefficiency. Hon’ble Modi Ji has met the expectations of the populace."
