What Led to the Air India Boeing 787 Crash? Key Evidence Uncovered!

Investigation into the Air India Crash
Ahmedabad: The flight data recorder, commonly referred to as the black box, from the Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner that tragically crashed shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has been successfully retrieved from the wreckage.
This crucial device is anticipated to be instrumental in determining the factors that contributed to the accident.
It records essential data, including flight speed, altitude, engine metrics, and cockpit audio, which encompasses communications between the pilots and air traffic control.
Designed to endure extreme conditions, these devices are built to survive high temperatures, water exposure, and significant impacts, ensuring that vital information remains intact even in disastrous situations.
Despite its name, the black box is usually painted in bright orange for easier visibility among debris.
Made from robust materials like steel and titanium, it consists of two primary parts: the Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR) and the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR). The DFDR captures technical flight data, while the CVR records cockpit audio, including pilot conversations and radio communications.
In a related development, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has also retrieved a digital video recorder (DVR) from the crash site.
Investigators believe this DVR could provide additional evidence, offering visual context to the events leading up to the crash.
Authorities are gearing up to analyze both the flight recorders and the DVR to construct a detailed timeline of the incident.
In the meantime, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the family of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who tragically lost his life in the Air India crash on Thursday.
Among those present was Rupani's wife, Anjali Rupani, who had just returned from London after the incident.
In a heartfelt message shared on X, PM Modi expressed his sorrow over Rupani's passing, describing it as 'unimaginable' and reflecting on their long-standing relationship.
He stated, 'I met the family of Shri Vijaybhai Rupani Ji. It is unimaginable that Vijaybhai is not with us anymore. I have known him for decades, and we worked closely together during some of the most challenging times.'
PM Modi further remarked, 'Vijaybhai was a humble and dedicated individual, deeply committed to the party's principles. He rose through the ranks, taking on various responsibilities within the organization, and served diligently as Gujarat’s Chief Minister.'
