All-Party Meeting Precedes Monsoon Session

New Delhi: An all-party meeting has been organized by the government in preparation for the Monsoon session of Parliament, taking place this Sunday. During this gathering, the opposition is expected to address several pressing matters, including the urgent revision of electoral rolls in Bihar and the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.

The government aims to garner support from opposition parties to ensure the House operates smoothly.

Political leaders from various parties are present at the meeting, with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and his deputy Arjun Ram Meghwal representing the government.

Attendees include Congress leaders Gaurav Gogoi and Jairam Ramesh, Supriya Sule from the NCP-Sharad Pawar faction, DMK's T R Baalu, and Union minister Ramdas Athawale from the RPI (A).

The INDIA bloc has committed to raising significant issues during the Monsoon session, such as the lack of justice for the Pahalgam attack victims, US President Donald Trump's assertions regarding a 'ceasefire' during India-Pakistan conflicts, and concerns over the intensive revision of electoral rolls in Bihar, which the opposition claims jeopardizes citizens' voting rights.
