What is Operation Sindoor? NCERT's New Module Aims to Educate Students on India's Defence Strategy
NCERT Introduces Educational Module on Operation Sindoor
New Delhi: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is crafting a unique classroom module centered on Operation Sindoor, aimed at educating students about India's defense strategies and diplomatic actions, as per insider information.
This educational initiative will be divided into two segments: one tailored for students in Classes 3 to 8, and another for those in Classes 9 to 12.
According to sources, the module will consist of 8 to 10 pages that delve into India's military response to the Pahalgam terror incident.
The objective is to help students grasp how countries react to terrorist threats and the interplay of defense, diplomacy, and inter-ministerial coordination in ensuring national security.
On April 22, a tragic terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam resulted in the deaths of twenty-six individuals in front of their families.
In retaliation, India targeted terrorist locations in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Pakistan under Operation Sindoor, which escalated into a four-day conflict between the nations.
A special discussion regarding Operation Sindoor is set to take place in the Lok Sabha starting Monday, following a week of disrupted parliamentary sessions.
The opposition has strongly advocated for this discussion on the first day of the Monsoon session.
Key figures such as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar are expected to engage in the 16-hour debate, which will unfold over three days.
