What Happened to Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar? Health Concerns Raise Alarm
Health Update on Jagdeep Dhankhar
New Delhi: Jagdeep Dhankhar, the former vice president of India, was admitted to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Monday following two incidents of fainting that occurred on January 10, according to officials.
The 74-year-old politician is set to undergo an MRI as part of his medical evaluation.
On the day of the incidents, Dhankhar experienced "two bouts of unconsciousness" while using the restroom, as reported by officials.
"He had visited AIIMS for a routine checkup, but doctors recommended that he be admitted for further tests," an official stated.
This is not the first time Dhankhar has experienced such episodes; he has previously fainted at various public events across locations including the Rann of Kutch, Uttarakhand, Kerala, and even in the national capital during his tenure as vice president.
He resigned from his vice presidential role on July 21, citing health issues.
