The Indian Embassy in the United States shared on X that the delegation emphasized enhancing the India-US partnership, particularly in counter-terrorism efforts.

Tharoor expressed satisfaction with the meeting, highlighting the comprehensive discussions that took place, which included topics like counter-terrorism and technological collaboration. He described the exchange as constructive and beneficial for fortifying the strategic partnership between India and the US.

Vice President Vance had previously condemned the Pahalgam terror attack that occurred on April 22 during his visit to India, expressing solidarity with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and offering US assistance in combating terrorism.

In a heartfelt message, Vance and his wife Usha extended their condolences to the victims of the Pahalgam attack, reflecting on their admiration for India and its people.

Earlier that day, Tharoor engaged with Ambassador Ken Juster at the Council on Foreign Relations, discussing India's ongoing battle against terrorism.

On Wednesday, the delegation met with key members of the Indian diaspora in the US, reinforcing India's united stance against terrorism and the significance of Operation Sindoor. Diaspora members conveyed their solidarity with terrorism victims and support for India's efforts.
