While in Kananaskis, Modi engaged in significant discussions with leaders from the G7 regarding pressing global issues and shared visions for a sustainable future.
According to Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, Modi's visit was marked by productive dialogues on Energy Security, Technology, and Innovation at the G7 Summit, along with meetings with various leaders to strengthen bilateral relations.
Modi's discussions with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney highlighted the importance of India-Canada relations, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts across multiple sectors.
Following their talks, both nations agreed to appoint new high commissioners to facilitate regular services for citizens and businesses.
This trip marked Modi's first visit to Canada in ten years, having arrived in Calgary from Cyprus.
