Moscow: On Thursday, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar engaged in discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin, focusing on enhancing the bilateral relationship between India and Russia.
This meeting followed extensive talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, where the primary emphasis was on boosting trade relations between the two nations.
Jaishankar remarked during a joint press conference with Lavrov, "We consider the India-Russia relationship to be one of the most stable among major global partnerships since World War II."
He highlighted that the key factors driving this relationship include geopolitical alignment, leadership interactions, and public sentiment.
Jaishankar arrived in Moscow on Tuesday to finalize details regarding President Putin's upcoming visit to India, which is anticipated to occur in either November or December.
