EAM Jaishankar's Diplomatic Engagements in Luxembourg
Luxembourg: On Tuesday, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with Prime Minister Luc Frieden of Luxembourg, extending warm regards from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in sectors such as financial services, investments, technology, and innovation between the two countries.
EAM Jaishankar expressed his pleasure in meeting Prime Minister Frieden, highlighting the growing partnership. He thanked the Prime Minister for his support in strengthening India-EU relations, as noted in a post on X.
During his visit, Jaishankar is scheduled to engage with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Xavier Bettel, along with other senior officials. He will also connect with the Indian community residing in Luxembourg, as per the Ministry of External Affairs' announcement.
Jaishankar's trip to Luxembourg follows his recent engagements in France.
On Monday, he met with Fatih Birol, the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), where he acknowledged Birol's insights on the global energy landscape and his backing for India's development.
Additionally, he interacted with participants of the French-Indian Young Talents Program organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-India in Paris, emphasizing the significance of collaboration between the two nations.
In a post on X, he expressed his delight in engaging with the young talents, discussing the ongoing global transformations and the critical role of India-France cooperation.
Jaishankar also attended an exhibition in Paris titled 'Ce qui se trame – woven stories between India and France,' which highlighted India's rich textile heritage and craftsmanship, reinforcing the cultural ties between the two countries.
He thanked Minister Delegate for Europe and Foreign Affairs Eleonore Caroit and Roman Pinosch for their warm welcome and participation in the exhibition.
