Shimron Hetmyer played a pivotal role, scoring 85 runs off just 34 balls, including seven sixes and as many fours. His explosive batting set a formidable target of 255 runs for Zimbabwe.

Kumble remarked on Hetmyer's capabilities, saying, "He has consistently been a finisher, adept at clearing boundaries. His ability to convert starts into significant scores is crucial. Kumble noted, "Powell is a proven power-hitter. He took his time at first, but once he found his rhythm, he became unstoppable. His powerful strikes are difficult to field, even when directed at fielders."
