Injury Occurs After Historic Century
The injury occurred while Greaves was batting in the first ODI, where he impressively scored his maiden century in One Day Internationals, amassing 101 runs off 108 balls. Despite showing signs of discomfort and requiring medical assistance multiple times, he persevered to reach his century before being dismissed by Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav. Following his dismissal, Greaves did not participate in the West Indies' fielding innings.
Concerns for Upcoming Matches
At 31 years old, Greaves is also uncertain for the third ODI set for October 3, raising selection dilemmas for the West Indies management as they prepare for the remaining matches.
