Weather Update: Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Northern India
Weather Changes in Delhi and Surrounding Areas
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert as the national capital, Delhi, and its neighboring regions experienced a shift in weather on Monday. The day began with bright sunshine, but by evening, clouds rolled in, bringing light rain to certain areas of the NCR. The IMD has provided an update indicating that weather patterns in North India are set to change once again.
According to the IMD, varying weather conditions are expected across different parts of the country. In North India, a western disturbance is likely to bring rain and thunderstorms, while the hilly regions may also see some rainfall. Meanwhile, central and southern India could experience heat and humidity. Let’s take a look at the expected weather for your city on Tuesday.
Weather Forecast for Delhi
The IMD predicts that on March 31, a western disturbance will impact Delhi-NCR. Partly cloudy skies are expected, with light to moderate rain possible in some areas. Additionally, strong winds may occur in certain locations. The cloud cover and wind are likely to lead to a drop in temperature, providing some relief from the heat during the night.
Weather Conditions in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar
On Tuesday, a mixed weather pattern is anticipated in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Some districts in both states may feel a slight warmth, but light rain could lead to a decrease in temperature. The IMD forecasts that eastern Uttar Pradesh may see maximum temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius, while parts of Bihar will also experience warmth.
Weather Alerts for Hilly States
The IMD has indicated that states like Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh will experience active weather conditions. Alerts for rain, snowfall, and hail have been issued for the hilly areas. In the plains, strong winds are expected, with speeds ranging from 30 to 50 kilometers per hour. This change in weather is likely to significantly lower temperatures and attract tourists to the hilly regions.
Weather Outlook for Other States
According to the IMD, Gujarat may also see a change in weather, with maximum temperatures approaching 37 degrees Celsius. In Maharashtra, humid conditions are expected on March 31, with slight increases in temperature in some interior areas, although no major weather changes are anticipated. In southern India, states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala may also experience rising heat and humidity.
