The Visavadar seat became vacant after AAP MLA Bhupendra Bhayani switched to the ruling BJP. The candidates contesting from Visavadar include AAP's Gopal Italia, BJP's Kirit Patel, and Congress's Nitin Ranpariya.
The bye-election in Kadi was called following the passing of BJP MLA Karshan Solanki, with AAP's Jagdish Chavda, Congress's Ramesh Chavda, and BJP's Rajendra Chavda vying for the seat.
In Kerala, the bye-poll in Nilambur was prompted by the resignation of independent legislator PV Anvar, who was backed by the Communist Party of India (Marxist).
In West Bengal, the Kaliganj bye-poll was necessitated by the death of Trinamool leader Nasiruddin Ahmed.
In Punjab, the bye-election for Ludhiana West was triggered by the demise of AAP MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi, leading to a competitive four-way race involving Sanjeev Arora from AAP, Bharat Bhushan Ashu from Congress, Jiwn Gupta from BJP, and Parupkar Singh Ghumman from the Shiromani Akali Dal.
