Virat Kohli, India's renowned cricketer, is on the verge of a remarkable milestone, needing just one more run to join the elite club of players who have scored 16,000 runs in List A cricket. Currently, he has accumulated 15,999 runs across 342 List A matches, boasting an impressive average of 57.34, along with 57 centuries and 84 half-centuries.

Kohli is set to achieve this milestone during the Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. This match marks his eagerly awaited return to the tournament in the 2025/26 season, after nearly 15 years away from India's top domestic 50-over competition. The Vijay Hazare Trophy will provide essential match practice ahead of the upcoming series against New Zealand, which begins on January 11.

Entering the tournament, Kohli is in exceptional form, having recorded four scores of fifty or more in his last four ODI matches. This includes consecutive centuries against South Africa in the first two ODIs and an unbeaten 65 in the third ODI, which helped secure a 2-1 series victory for India.

In the past year, Kohli has excelled in international cricket, amassing 651 runs in 13 innings at an average of 65.10, featuring three centuries and four fifties, with a top score of 135 and a strike rate exceeding 96.
