Prayers at Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple

On Saturday, former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and spinner Kuldeep Yadav visited the Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain to offer their prayers. The two players are set to participate in the third ODI against New Zealand, which will take place at the Holkar Cricket Stadium on January 18. This match is crucial as the New Zealand team managed to equalize the series in the second ODI held in Rajkot, denying India a chance to secure an early lead.

Kuldeep Yadav Reflects on His Temple Visit

Following their prayers, Kuldeep Yadav shared his thoughts with the media, stating, "It was a wonderful experience. I first visited this temple nine years ago, and it always brings me immense joy and peace. With God's blessings, everything is going well, and I hope we perform excellently in the World Cup."

India vs New Zealand: Series Tied at 1-1

India entered the second ODI after a thrilling four-wicket victory over New Zealand in the series opener in Vadodara. However, they faced a significant defeat in the second match, losing by seven wickets to a strong New Zealand side led by Michael Bracewell. While KL Rahul impressed with an unbeaten 112 runs, Daryl Mitchell's remarkable 131 not out helped New Zealand level the series at 1-1.

Kohli's Impressive ODI Record

Earlier this week, Kohli reclaimed the top position in the ICC ODI rankings, surpassing former captain Rohit Sharma. In his first match after regaining the number one spot, Kohli scored 23 runs off 29 balls.
