In addition to this milestone, Kohli has set a record for being the fastest player to reach 14,000 T20 runs, accomplishing this feat in just 409 innings, surpassing Chris Gayle's previous record of 423 innings.
First Indian with 10 T20 Centuries
Kohli has also become the first Indian cricketer to score 10 centuries in T20 matches. Chris Gayle holds the record for the most T20 centuries with 22, followed by Babar Azam with 13. Kohli shares third place with David Warner, both having 10 centuries each. Rilee Rossouw and Sahibzada Farhan follow closely with nine centuries each, along with Quinton de Kock and Abhishek Sharma.
Match-Winning Performance Against KKR
After facing two consecutive ducks, Kohli's outstanding performance of an unbeaten 105 runs off 60 balls was pivotal in RCB's victory over KKR by six wickets in their IPL 2026 match at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. Chasing a target of 193 runs, Kohli's century, along with Devdutt Padikkal's contribution of 39 runs, led RCB to a comfortable win with five balls to spare.
