Tragic Incident in Datiyana Village

A violent clash over land ownership in a village of Muzaffarnagar district resulted in the fatal shooting of one individual, while another sustained serious injuries, as reported by local authorities on Thursday.


The incident occurred late Wednesday night in Datiyana village, located within the jurisdiction of the Chapar police station. According to police, a dispute arose between two men, Deepak and Vinod Kumar, regarding agricultural land, which escalated into a physical confrontation. Gunfire was exchanged during the altercation.


As per the statements from the Superintendent of Police, Satyanarayan Prajapat, Deepak, aged 26, succumbed to his injuries at the scene, and his body has been sent for an autopsy. Vinod Kumar was transported to the district hospital in critical condition.


Upon receiving the report, police arrived at the location to initiate an investigation. Superintendent Prajapat assured that the situation is under control and additional forces have been deployed in the village as a precautionary measure.
