VinFast VF6: Upcoming Electric SUV Set to Launch Before Festive Season

VinFast's New Electric SUV on the Horizon
VinFast, a fresh player in the electric vehicle market, is gearing up to introduce a range of new SUVs across various segments. Recent reports suggest that the Vietnamese automaker may unveil the VF6 shortly before the festive season. Just weeks ago, the official design of the VinFast VF6 was revealed, but it has now been spotted covered in camouflage during testing.
The VF6 made its debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo, showcasing its unique features. One of the standout elements of this vehicle is its striking LED strip headlights that extend across the front and along the sides. Beneath these LED strips, there are compartments for the main headlights and turn signals, complemented by a honeycomb-patterned air dam and substantial black plastic cladding that reaches the bumper. Additionally, the VF6 will feature 18-inch alloy wheels and further black cladding.
With a sloped roofline, the VF6 enhances its aesthetic appeal, and its 190mm ground clearance makes it an excellent choice for Indian road conditions.
Interior and Features of the VinFast VF6
Inside, the VF6 boasts a minimalist design, featuring a dual-tone color scheme and a low-profile dashboard paired with a flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel. Notably, the vehicle lacks a traditional instrument cluster or digital driver display.
The SUV will come equipped with a 21.9-inch infotainment touchscreen positioned at the top of the dashboard, angled towards the driver. Recent updates indicate that all vehicle functions will be managed through this infotainment system. Additional features include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay, ventilated seats, and advanced connected car technology.
Performance and Battery Specifications of the VinFast VF6
Beneath its sleek exterior, the VinFast VF6 is powered by a new 59.6 kWh battery pack that drives a single motor located on the front axle. This motor generates an impressive output of 204 horsepower and a peak torque of 310 Nm. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed time of 8.89 seconds, with a WLTP-certified range of 408 km. Furthermore, the VF6 supports 7.2 kW AC fast charging.
