The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) has announced the appointment of Vikas Katyal as the Manager for the Indian cricket team during the upcoming home series against the West Indies. This decision highlights the association's pride and acknowledges the significance of Delhi's cricket administration on a national scale, as stated in a press release.
The series will consist of three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and five T20 International matches, taking place in various cities across India.

DDCA emphasized that Katyal's new role is a notable accomplishment for the association, showcasing the trust placed in one of its directors to manage the national team during this important series.
The association congratulated Vikas Katyal and expressed its best wishes for him and Team India as they prepare for the West Indies matches.
Tour Schedule and Team Updates
The West Indies, led by Shai Hope, will kick off the ODI series against India, with the first match set to start at 2 PM IST.
The schedule for the ODIs is as follows:
- First ODI: Thiruvananthapuram on September 27
- Second ODI: Guwahati on September 30
- Third ODI: New Chandigarh on October 3
Cricket West Indies has released its squads for the ODIs and T20Is, with the tour spanning from September 27 to October 18 across eight cities.
John Campbell returns to the ODI lineup after recovering from a hamstring injury, while Jewel Andrew replaces Ackeem Auguste, who is still rehabilitating post-surgery.
Shimron Hetmyer will join the T20I squad after an extended recovery period following the Caribbean Premier League.
The initial two ODIs will conclude the qualification cycle for the ICC Men’s 50-over World Cup, but the West Indies will still need to participate in the qualification tournament next year, regardless of the outcomes.
India will be captained by Shubman Gill, with KL Rahul serving as vice-captain. The squad includes notable players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, providing an opportunity to evaluate talent ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup.
Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj are back in the ODI setup, while Auqib Nabi and Naman Dhir have received their first ODI call-ups.
