Vijay Appeals to Voters Ahead of Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections
Vijay's Final Appeal to Voters
On Tuesday, Vijay, the leader of the Tamilaga Vettir Kazhagam (TVK), made a heartfelt appeal to voters ahead of the upcoming assembly elections scheduled for April 23. He urged them to support his party's symbol and promised to resist the political pressures exerted by established parties. In a message shared on social media, Vijay expressed gratitude to voters, referring to them as his family, for their unwavering support since he entered politics.
Identifying himself as a leader focused on the public, Vijay claimed that his party has faced relentless pressure from political adversaries.
Acknowledging the Struggles of the People
Vijay emphasized that the gratitude he feels towards the people of Tamil Nadu stems from the challenges they have faced together. He pointed out that these challenges have come from those who have imposed unbearable pressure and suffering on them. He stated that the public is well aware of their political rivals, the anti-people forces of DMK and BJP, who are known for their policy opposition and are a formidable force in the political arena.
The actor-turned-politician asserted that his political journey is entirely motivated by the welfare of the people and firmly rejected any notion that he would yield to threats.
Commitment to Public Welfare
Vijay questioned whether he would bow to the pressures of parties with a fascist mindset or to investment companies that misuse wealth to intimidate. He stated that neither threats to control one's son nor the use of power to intimidate one's brother would succeed in silencing him.
Describing TVK as an emerging force in Tamil Nadu politics, Vijay characterized the party as a movement rooted in social justice and public support. He noted that with divine grace, nature's assistance, women's empowerment, youth strength, and robust support from allies worldwide, the Tamil Nadu Vijay League has emerged as a significant political force.
He concluded by asserting that the party's commitment to the welfare of the Tamil people cannot be shaken by any corporate power, and he believes that the upcoming elections will serve as a lesson for those who oppose them.
