Data from Downdetector indicated that nearly half of the complaints were related to mobile phone services. Additionally, around 28% of the issues were associated with Verizon's 5G Home Internet, while 18% pertained to its 5G internet network. The exact cause of the outage remains unclear, and Verizon has yet to provide a timeline for full service restoration. The outage seems to be a recent occurrence, suggesting that a resolution might be forthcoming. Furthermore, AT&T users also reported experiencing service problems on the same evening, according to outage data.
