Cheetahs Triumph in Qualifier

On Day 4 of the Akcel World Padel League Season 4, sponsored by SpiceJet, the VB Realty Cheetahs faced off against the Hubtown Panorama Panthers in a crucial Qualifier match, with a semi-final berth on the line. After a hard-fought Eliminator against the Khan Tigers earlier in the day, the Cheetahs carried their winning momentum into the Qualifier. They started strong and maintained control throughout the three sets, ultimately achieving a decisive 19-8 victory over the Panthers, as reported in a press release.

Cheetahs' Path Through the Eliminator

In the opening set, the Cheetahs' duo of Jesus Moya and Jon Sanz faced off against the Tigers' Andres Lancha and Lucas Campagnolo. The Cheetahs secured the set 6-3 after a competitive start, capitalizing on their opportunities as the set progressed to gain an early lead.

The Tigers responded in the second set, with Javi Garcia and Inigo Jofre competing against Coki Nieto and Lucho Capra. The Tigers delivered a strong performance, winning the set 6-2 and leveling the match.

With the match finely balanced, Aranzazu Osoro and Carla Mesa took on Raquel Eugenio and Alejandra Alonso in the deciding set. Both teams remained close throughout, but the Cheetahs finished strong, winning the final set 6-3 and advancing to face the Hubtown Panorama Panthers in the Qualifier.

Qualifier: Cheetahs Overpower Panthers

Entering the Qualifier after their earlier victory over the Khan Tigers, the Cheetahs' Aranzazu Osoro and Carla Mesa faced Marta Caparros and Marta Barrera from the Panthers, winning the first set 6-2.

In the second set, Juan Tello and Eduardo Alonso from the Panthers battled against Jesus Moya and Jon Sanz of the Cheetahs. Both pairs engaged in lengthy rallies and tight exchanges, but Moya and Sanz managed to edge out a 7-5 win, extending the Cheetahs' lead.

As the Panthers aimed to mount a comeback in the final set, Enri Goenaga and Rama Valenzuela faced Coki Nieto and Lucho Capra. The Cheetahs took control early on and clinched the set 6-1, securing their victory.

Upcoming Semi-Finals and Final

The Akcel World Padel League Season 4 is gearing up for an exciting conclusion on August 16. The first semi-final will feature the Game Changers Lions against the Vedanta Leopards at 3:00 PM, followed by the league stage leaders, the Aussie Mavericks Jaguars, taking on the VB Realty Cheetahs at 5:30 PM. The championship match is scheduled for 8:15 PM, where the Season 4 champions will be crowned.
