This nationwide initiative, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, aims to inspire citizens to incorporate cycling and physical activities into their daily routines.

Promoting Fitness and Youth Empowerment

The 94th edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle is set to take place in Varanasi on October 11, starting from Namo Ghat and concluding at Diksha Mandap, Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, beginning at 6:00 AM.


Theme: Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat

Under the theme 'Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat,' this initiative aims to unite youth, fitness advocates, and sports personalities to promote an active lifestyle while discouraging substance abuse, as stated by the Union Sports Ministry.


Encouraging Active Lifestyles

The event will gather citizens, young individuals, fitness lovers, and sports community members to advocate cycling as an easy, accessible, and sustainable method to maintain an active lifestyle.


Engaging Activities for Fun and Fitness

The initiative seeks to emphasize that fitness is a daily commitment, showcasing how sports and physical activities contribute to a healthier, stronger, and drug-free India. Participants can look forward to various fun and fitness activities at Namo Ghat, including yoga sessions, lively Zumba, engaging games, and interactive experiences that promote fitness and wellness.


Collective Efforts for a Drug-Free Society

This campaign aligns with the vision of fostering a Fit India and a drug-free community, urging citizens to incorporate cycling, walking, and other physical activities into their daily lives. It highlights the importance of collective action in combating substance abuse, with families, communities, educational institutions, and sports figures playing crucial roles in guiding youth towards positive decisions.


Nationwide Initiative

Fit India Sundays on Cycle is organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) in partnership with the Cycling Federation of India (CFI), Raahgiri Foundation, and MY Bharat. This cycling initiative is conducted simultaneously across all States and Union Territories, including SAI Regional Centres, National Centres of Excellence (NCOEs), SAI Training Centres (STCs), Khelo India State Centres of Excellence (KISCEs), and Khelo India Centres (KICs).


Additionally, over 6,000 NAMO Fit India Clubs facilitate this cycling initiative weekly across the nation.
