According to police reports, the vandalism occurred on Saturday night in Amodha village, within the jurisdiction of the Ghughli police station, where the right arm of the statue situated in a park was found damaged.

Upon learning of the incident, residents gathered at the site, leading to unrest. Police officials who arrived at the scene assured the crowd that the perpetrators would be apprehended swiftly, which helped to calm the situation. Station Officer Gaurav Singh stated that a significant police presence has been deployed in the park to maintain law and order, and an investigation into the matter is currently underway.
