Uttarakhand Shocking Murder: Woman and Lover Arrested for Killing Husband
Murder Investigation in Pauri Garhwal District
A disturbing case has emerged from the Pauri Garhwal district in Uttarakhand, where a woman and her paramour have been apprehended for the alleged murder of her husband. The police reported that the man's body was found on June 5 in Kotdwar. Investigations revealed that the deceased was originally from Delhi and bore multiple injuries, suggesting a violent death.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Lokeshwar Singh confirmed that a case has been filed under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). It was noted that the victim had recently entered into a second marriage.
SSP Singh stated, 'On June 5, a deceased male was discovered in the Kotdwar police jurisdiction. The post-mortem examination revealed numerous injuries, indicating potential foul play. Consequently, we initiated a case under Section 103 of the BNS.'
Further investigation, aided by CCTV footage and other evidence, led authorities to conclude that the victim was murdered by his second wife and her lover.
'Our findings indicate that the victim, a Delhi resident, had recently remarried. Through CCTV analysis and additional evidence, we determined that he was killed by his second wife and her accomplice, who subsequently disposed of his body in the Kotdwar area. Both suspects have been arrested and brought before the court. The motive appears to stem from a dispute related to a romantic affair and property,' Singh elaborated.
The accused were presented in court yesterday, and while the police are still working to establish a clear motive, initial investigations suggest that the conflict may revolve around a love affair or property issues.
